For Adults

Looking for a place to explore Scripture with other adults?

This is the place for you! We have 2 adult classes, for every age and interest! We have a class for older adults that studies the “Present Word” curriculum. Our adult class meets in the fellowship hall (next to the coffee pot).

Sunshine Group

In the spring of 1984, Rev. and Mrs. David Bonner, Betty Coats and the late Carol Compton, Sr. determined there was a need for planning and executing special events for the senior members of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church.
The dream became a reality when anxious and excited senior members boarded a borrowed van from Evergreen Skills and departed on their first adventure which was a trip to “Come See Rock Hill”.

Among those making the first trip were  Bill & Margaret Poole, Corrie Compton, Mary Senn, Faye Harris, Alice Coats, Ann Pitts, and Mac and Minnie Cunningham. It was a day that was talked about for years to come and the beginning of the now active “ Sunshine Group” of Rocky Springs.

The late Omega Senn is credited with naming the group because she suggested singing “ You Are My Sunshine”  at each gathering, thus the song became the theme song and members even today continue to sing it at each meeting.

Through the years the group has enjoyed special events, outings, fellowship, programs and food. The group has traveled many miles and created lasting memories along the way.

Today the “Sunshine Group” is under the direction and leadership of Rev. Deidra Crosby. The group meets monthly September through May.  Persons 55 and over are encouraged and invited to become a member of the fun-filled group.

Presbyterian Women

Rocky Springs offers women a time for bible study, fellowship, and mission projects. They are invited to come to our Night Circle which meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
