Pastor
Rev. Robert Brozina
Born and Raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina; Rev. Brozina felt the call to ministry while in High School. This feeling was affirmed during his Christian Education course while at Presbyterian College. Upon graduation in 1983 he became the Director of Christian Education at Peace Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, NC.
During his time at Peace Presbyterian Church the calling to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament was intensified. He followed the call and enrolled at Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. Following graduation in 1987, Robert completed an internship at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville, VA.
Since his ordination in 1989 he has served the church as pastor at Unity Presbyterian Church, Newton Grove, NC, Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, Jackson Springs, NC, Lake City Presbyterian Church, Lake City, SC, as Chaplain at the Presbyterian Community, Clinton, SC, and as pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Spartanburg, SC.
Robert enjoys time with this family and friends while also visiting the beach, reading and gardening.
Music Director
Lorna Hellams Pugh
Lorna specializes in sacred music and has been leading church music programs since the age of fourteen when she became the pianist at Faith Baptist Church, where she grew up. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 5 and has been playing the piano since the age of 7. Along with being a pianist, she has led adult and children’s choirs in the Baptist, Methodist and Presbyterian church. She has accompanied many performances, including performances from great soloists like George Beverly Shea and Mina Ogelsby. She uses her ministry of church music in many weddings to celebrate new lives together, as well as funerals to soothe and comfort grieving families. Lorna is married to David and they have four children and two grandchildren. She hopes to continue using her talent for many years as God sees fit.
